MINUTES OF THE GENERAL MEETING - SEPTEMBER 14

ATTENDANCE 64 MEMBERS AND 9 GUEST
 President Jeann’e Butler called the meeting to order and turned the meeting over to Jan of the Programs Committee who introduced Corliss Marsh.  The entire group enjoyed the numerous quilts and interesting comments. 
The social break followed. 
When the meeting resumed Berta thanked the September hostess group and Show and Tell began with eight participants.
Block of the month followed with Fran winning, followed by the raffles. 
The business meeting followed with the approval of the minutes of the Executive Board Meeting.  The treasurer’s report was next reporting a bank balance of $10,409.08.
The routine committee reports were next with documentation announcing an upcoming session scheduled for November 11, 2006.  It was noted that quilts made since 1960 will be featured. 
The president reminded all committees that budgets need to be submitted at the board meeting on September 21, 2006. 
Suzanne reported that next year’s raffle quilt has gone to the machine quilter.  Ann Hendrickson discussed the new pillow project the guild has started as requested by the local hospital.   
A reminder request for all library books to be turned in at the October general meeting for inventory purposes was made by Gretchen.
