Program: Rosalie Raudsep thanked members for voting in the recent survey on program and workshop ideas; contacts had been made with teachers who received the highest votes.  She introduced Beverly Runner and Kathy Shaker, who gave a brief history of the use of embellishments on quilts in the late 1800s and shared many examples of how embellishments could be used to enhance quilts.  Their examples included beads, folded flowers, 3-dimensional fabric pieces, silk ribbon, buttons, and fringe.

Refreshments: Hostesses were Charlotte Banton and Suzanne Dandoy.

Committee Reports:

Membership: Rose Shaw introduced the visitors and welcomed one new member.

Workshops: Jean Amundson announced 2 vacancies in the Friday workshop by our guest speakers and described the remaining two workshops in 2005.  Information on some 2006 workshops will be in the October newsletter.
