Perfect Block Challenge

Chairmen: Kathy Jordan and Sarah Spady

The Challenge: The Challenge for 2011 is to make a small quilt - maximum 36" X 36" - with a minimum of 9 blocks. All blocks are to be the same - except for ONE. The "one" block must be "something different" for the "Perfect" block. This is a simple idea with endless possibilities!

Rules and Requirements:

  1. Minimum 9 blocks - but can use more depending on quilter's choice of design and placement.
  2. Maximum 36" X 36" - but can be any size within that range.
  3. Any block pattern or design may be used; sashing and embellishment permitted; machine or hand quilted.
  4. "Something different" is up to the designer - backwards, upside down, different colors, different block pattern, or reverse colors are just a few examples. The idea is to be creative with the one "Perfect Block!"

Turn-In Instructions:

Due date for quilts is June 9, 2011 - completed with sleeve and label.
Voting by members will be during the June and July 2011, Guild meetings.
